Modern, aggressive, delicate... These are some of the adjectives that could be used to describe Driade. They are a modern metal band that doesn't want to be pigeonholed in any mould, they always look forward in every creation. Their compositions mix electronics, heavy riffs and eerie atmospheres.The band is finally established in 2023, formed by Carmela Díaz (vocals), Eduardo Cachero (guitar), Luis de la Peña (drums) and Juanjo Poveda (bass).In the last year they have been making a notable place for themselves in the Madrid scene, always bringing a fresh touch to their stage and studio recordings.Their influences come from many places, from 90s bands like Deftones or Tool, to contemporary modern metal bands like Loathe, Fleshwater, Jinjer or Gojira.

Their new work consists of a single, called ‘Dorian Gray’, as well as a 4 track EP titled ‘1845’ in honour of the year of release of the old tale ‘The Little Matchgirl’, by the author ‘Hans Christian Andersen’. These works will be released by the band itself and the Nooirax music label in 2024. Even so, Driade still has a lot of music to release and is expected to continue releasing singles and a new EP until the middle of 2025, plus the preparation of an LP during that year without a specific release date.
